Description

This video explains how to manage PeopleSoft row-level security using an IQ quick link, addressing the limitations of the standard IQ PeopleSoft connector 0:12.

Key Takeaways:
• Complete PeopleSoft access management requires overseeing four core components: accounts, roles, personas, and row-level securities 0:43.
• The standard IQ PeopleSoft connector effectively handles user accounts, roles, and personas, which are essentially conglomerates of roles 0:52.
• The primary limitation of the existing connector is its inability to properly manage row-level security, necessitating an alternative solution like an IQ quick link 1:03.

Understanding these connector limitations is the first step toward properly configuring IQ to fully govern complex PeopleSoft environments.

And so, in order to fully manage PeopleSoft, what we need to be able to manage is accounts, roles, personas, and row level securities. And so, accounts work pretty well through the connector already. We don't need to worry too much about those. Same things with roles. And personas are then just conglomerates of those roles. So, those can also sort of be managed by the connector. I…
