Description

Ukraine has secured a major economic lifeline through ERA loans funded by Russia’s frozen assets, effectively forcing Putin to pay for the war while Ukraine avoids repaying a single dollar. This shift, combined with a collapsing gold bubble, is crippling Russia’s war economy.

• Ukraine received $37.9 billion in ERA loans from G7 nations using frozen Russian assets as repayment security, with no repayments required during 11–12 year grace periods 1:47.
• These loans reduced Ukraine’s borrowing costs from 7.2% to 4.55% and external debt from 4.5% to 1.9%, with over 70% of 2025 external financing derived from the ERA mechanism 2:38.
• Russia’s gold reserves, once a critical war fund, are now losing value as prices plummet—losing an estimated $60 billion in 24 hours during a January crash 11:19, threatening Putin’s financial stability.
• China, Russia’s key gold buyer, is distancing itself, prioritizing Western trade ties over Russian support, making a future bailout unlikely 14:29.

The war’s financial dynamics now favor Ukraine, with EU-backed financing and collapsing Russian assets undermining Putin’s ability to sustain the conflict.

Money makes the Russian massacre machine go round,
and it’s the only reason why Putin and his Kremlin cronies have managed to make the Ukraine war last
so long. But now, things are changing. It’s not just that the money is running out. Ukraine has
found a way to make sure that Russia’s own money pays for the damage the war has caused, and this
is money that Putin will never get back. There is a double whammy of issues that have smashed
Putin in the face, one related to Russia’s frozen assets, and the other being a certain little
bubble that would ruin Russia if it happened to go pop. We’ll get to the bubble later in the video.
First, there are the Russian frozen assets to consider, particularly in terms of how Russia is
losing control over those assets. Here’s the short version of …
